Master Joiners Best Compliant Timber Joinery Award
We’re very proud of this job and the fact that it won a compliance award which acknowledges our attention to detail and working towards the highest standards.
Here are some specifics about the project. If you’d like to understand more about what we did and what it means for the beauty and longevity of the home, contact us.
This project was a brand new, multi million dollar house that was built over two large sections. The architect’s plans specified joinery made from premium grade cedar, including the frames and exterior facings.
We custom made all the jambs and sills for this job from cedar. Prior to manufacture, we spent time with the architect ensuring that all sills would tie in with each other across the varied items.
We made the doors out of laminated Saligna, which allowed us to have such large doors, while keeping within the constraints of the NZS4211 standard for the performance testing of individual windows and doors for exterior use. All joinery was pre-coated with Sikkons, prior to delivery to site. The final coats were applied after the joinery was installed and glazed.
We used the Thermawood glazing system for all the double glazed panes. This system has been tested for compliance with NZS4211 and ensures the double glazing will perform as required, with full warranty.
