“We originally planned to install double glazing into our baby's room, and also in the guest bedroom where the windows were very cold and drafty. Well Hung Joinery did an excellent job retrofitting double glazed wooden sashes into the existing frames, and we have been delighted with the appearance. The character of the house has not only been maintained, but improved – they look great! The rooms are now warm, condensation-free, and also silent. Street sounds have disappeared. We liked them so much that we decided to do an additional two rooms, to equal success. Well Hung Joinery were a pleasure to deal with, very professional and punctual, and when a problem arose with finding rot in an existing window frame, they were excellent in dealing with this. They also made our front door draught-free, and we now live in a warm, quiet house. Highly recommended.”

“We have recently been altering a 1920’s villa in Martinborough. We heard about Well Hung Joinery through several people in the Wairarapa who had used this Wellington-based company for either renovations or new builds. We had bifold doors, bifold windows, sash and fixed windows made for the house. The joinery was one of our larger costs but we have had no regrets in going new. We originally had thought we would use recycled doors and windows and are now really pleased we didn’t. Stephen was incredibly helpful and professional on all levels even after several changes! Having experience in this area (which we didn’t) he had sensible ideas as to what would work best and was happy to come on site when we needed him to meet with our builder. I can’t recommend Well Hung Joinery enough. The final work looks absolutely amazing and even though it’s a relatively modern addition it has lost none of its ‘old villa’ appeal. Delivery was punctual and service second to none.”
